I grabbed a bowl and put some rice in the bowl.  I jammed the phone into the rice to help dry it out.  I was able to turn off the phone also.

This morning was the time of truth.  I took the phone out of the rice and hit the power button.  No response.  I remembered the iPhone reboot (hold down home and power for 8+ seconds) and did it.  The Apple icon showed up. I waited a bit more, the whole phone came up!  Yea!  I was feeling good.

On the way to work I wanted to take a picture of what was playing on XM but it was blurry.  The glass cover on the lens was fogged up.  I should have taken the blow dryer to it.  I put the phone down at work and charged it up.

The morning passed and I went to lunch.  On the way to the truck the phone turned off and will not come back on!  I am not within my upgrade period for another one.  The 'discounted' price is the same as adding a new line for 2 years and getting a subsidized one.  So I have taken the back off the iPhone, stuck it in rice again, I am going to go buy some guys iPhone he has for sale and see where this all goes.

I hope not to make this mistake again.

I tried to leave my card and the lady said I couldn’t.  I was to tell them an amount to put on the card.  I guessed high, $200.00.  She ran it on my card and had me sign the receipt.  They charged it right then and there.  I asked what to do if I got less.  She said come in for a refund.

I pumped $126 in to the beast and went back in for my refund.  It was kind of weird to do that and I will probably just double-dip the card at the pump the next time.

The good news in all of that was time between fillups.  This fillup was on 6/4.  My previous fillup was on 5/9.  Almost 4 weeks!  I had put on a bit more than 300 miles.  Just back and forth to work.  All of our driving is now done in the Camry Hybrid.  I got over 45mpg yesterday on a trip from Porterville to Visalia (about 30 miles).  I can live with that.
