I will lump these days together.
Day 2.
We wanted to go to Airstream of Los Angeles since we were so close. Â Anytime there is an Airstream dealer nearby, I will go! Â Luckily there was a trip planned so we went along. Â I was able to see a new 2015 30′ Classic and a 2015 Land Yacht (2 of them). Â It showed me that I am very happy with the trailer that we have. Â The 2015 has some nice features but not enough to warrant a change considering the negatives that I see in it. Â The Land Yacht is beautiful! Â I would not mind a trailer like that but it is a ‘bit’ pricey.
We came back and after lunch went to get a few parts at OSH, for repairing a sconce lamp in the back, and to Target, to get a warm pair of gloves for Roxie.
That evening after the happy hour:
We had a pot luck. Â We were designated for dessert and Roxie made brownies for the group. Â Virtually all the food was devoured. Â Some of the rally goers went to see some Christmas lights, we opted to go another night and went back to the trailer as it was COLD!
Day 3
We started the day with a breakfast put on by the coordinators of the rally. Â It was hot oatmeal with cold ice cream. Â A odd combination in initial thought but it was not actually too bad. Â I prefered butter and brown sugar.
We had tickets to go view a location where some of the floats were being decorated. Â It was a 1.3 mile walk from our spot and we went with Ken and Christine from Colorado. Â We got to see 7 different floats being madly decorated:
On the walk back we stopped to have some lunch at Lucky Boy burgers. Â It was very good!
That afternoon there were rain showers predicted. Â We drove over to another venue where they were decorating floats but the line was HUGE! Â We decided not to go. Â We got back to the trailer and the rain began in earnest and rained all afternoon into the evening. Â This was an evening to eat on your own. Â We were able to connect with the Chen’s and have dinner with the whole family! Â Here is a picture of me and my ‘twin brother from another mother’ (yes he is in shorts!) and this was a picture after dinner:
We did a bit more shopping after a great dinner. Â We were now looking for a warm hat for Roxie (see a trend here?). Â We also did a bit of grocery shopping. Â After dinner we went to Christmas Tree lane to see the lights. Â It was enjoyable but not very grandiose. Â Until we got here:
Wow! Â A photo cannot do it justice. Â One more day with the ‘streamers before the main event!
